The World Series trophy will make a couple of trips to South Bend, but you’ll need an invitation if you want to be the first to see it.

The trophy will make an appearance at Four Winds Field on Jan. 21 in a special VIP Event for season ticket holders of the South Bend Cubs. Full-season seat holders will be contacted directly with more details on the private event, according to a press release.

The general public will also have the chance to see it on April 20, at an event to be announced later. Fans will be allowed to take pictures and share them on social media using the hashtag #CubsTrophyTour.

South Bend Cubs President Joe Hart calls it “an honor and a privilege to host the World Series Trophy,“ adding “there are many Cubs fans in our area who have waited a very long time for this moment and we are incredibly proud to share it with them.”
