FLINT, Mich. (AP) — A prosecutor plans to press charges against three young people in the beating of a 14-year-old Flint boy that was recorded on video and posted on Facebook.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says he'll pursue unarmed robbery charges against the 15-, 16- and 17-year-olds. He he'll use the video as evidence in the case, saying "any evidence helps."
No arraignments have yet been scheduled.
The boy's mother said video of the Jan. 27 attack was posted on a Facebook page of one attacker. The newspaper says it since has been taken down.
According to a police report, the Northern High School student was walking on the city's west side when three teens that he recognized as schoolmates attacked him.
