The Potawatomi Zoo is introducing two new animals to its zoo family this weekend.

Visitors to the zoo this weekend can meet 7-year-old Jinx and 9-year-old Aurora, two African painted dogs, according to a news release from the zoo.

Only 7,000 painted dogs remain in the wild, making them Africa’s most endangered carnivore.

Jinx and Aurora enjoy chasing each other around their exhibit, according to the news release.

Potawatomi Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $9.50 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 3 to 14 and for seniors 62 and above. Children 2 and younger are free.

Potawatomi Zoo is located at 500 S. Greenlawn Ave., South Bend.
