Man suffers non-life threatening injury in South Bend stabbing

One man has been injured in a stabbing on South Bend’s northwest side.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Sherman Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 28.

On arrival, police and medics found a man with a stab wound in his chest. He told police that the stabbing happened as the result of a fight with another man, according to WNDU.

The victim’s injury was not life-threatening. Nobody has been arrested but police continue to investigate.
