LAWTON, Mich. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the bodies of two teenagers who apparently drowned while fishing in a lake in southwestern Michigan.
The bodies were found Thursday, a day after the 17-year-old and 18-year-old disappeared while in a boat at Bankson Lake in Van Buren County, southwest of Kalamazoo.
No names have been released. Identification and fishing equipment were found in the boat Wednesday.
Sgt. Dennis Harvey of the sheriff’s office says a man mowing grass near a boat landing reported that someone had gone overboard.
