School is out for summer and Mishawaka police say they will be on the lookout to make sure children are obeying the city’s curfew.

Officers with the Mishawaka Police Department will patrol city parks and neighborhoods during the summer to make sure children under 18 aren’t breaking curfew, Lt. Tim Williams with department said.

In Mishawaka, children younger than 15 must not be in a public place after 11 p.m. to before 5 a.m. any day of the week. Children ages 15 to 17 should not be in a public place between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. during the week or between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on the weekends.

City parks are closed from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Oct. 31.
