Possible abduction near Kennedy Park in South Bend reported to South Bend Police Department

Officers with the South Bend Police Department are actively looking for a 7-year-old girl who may have been abducted near Kennedy Park on Thursday afternoon, July 9.

A 7-year-old white girl with black hair wearing a pink shirt and jean shorts may have been abducted by a black male suspect with grey facial area in the area of Kennedy Park in the 2500 block of Frederickson Street, according to a tweet from the police department.

Police were going door-to-door interviewing the children around Kennedy Park on Thursday afternoon. Police haven’t identified the girl and her parents have not come forward, WNDU reported.
