An Elkhart man suspected of using a Craigslist ad to lure a victim with a friend in December pleaded guilty.
Jaylen Diver, 20, pleaded guilty to robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and driving while intoxicated endangering a person, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth. Diver agreed to a 10-year prison sentence with one year suspended and served on probation as party of the plea deal.
Diver admitted to police that he and 20-year-old Scott Allen Hankins robbed a man who responded to their Craigslist ad in which they said they were selling an iPhone 6 Plus in December.
The men pointed handguns at the victim when he met them in the 2600 block of Links Drive and stole $650 from him, the Elkhart Truth reported.
Hankins is expected at a court hearing July 23.
