St. Joseph Twp. Police searching for hit-and-run driver who struck motorcyclist on I-94

Police in St. Joseph Township, Mich. are looking for the driver of a vehicle they say struck and injured a motorcyclist and left the scene.

The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, on eastbound I-94 near the Niles Road overpass.

The 34-year-old motorcyclist from Hammond was taken to Lakeland Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The victim was listed in stable condition on Sunday, according to St. Joseph Township Police.

The suspect vehicle was described as a newer model Toyota Camry, silver in color, according to the news release. The vehicle was being driven by an older male subject with grey hair. The vehicle was last seen exiting I-94 at the Niles Road exit.
