The Medical Foundation Blood Bank needs donations and during what is one of the slowest weeks, donor-wise, for the blood bank, they’ve come up with a new incentive to get people to donate.

This week, the Medical Foundation has partnered with Bruno’s Pizza in Mishawaka and Jet’s Pizza in Elkhart to provide a gift card for pizza to anyone who donates whole blood or blood platelets from now, through 12 p.m. on Dec. 31.

“Donate blood at our South Bend or Mishawaka donor centers through December 31st and you’ll get a $15 gift certificate to Bruno’s Pizza on Edison Road,” said Mary Ankrapp, Blood Donor Recruitment Specialist. “Or, donate at our Elkhart location to receive a $10 gift certificate to Jet’s Pizza.”

The donor sites are open December 28-31, closing at noon on New Year’s Eve. They will resume their normal hours on Saturday, January 2.
