Daniel Furlong sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for Jodi Parrack murder

The man who pleaded guilty of murder in the death of an 11-year-old Michigan girl will spend at least 30 years in prison.

  Daniel Furlong, 65, was sentenced Monday, Jan. 11, to 30 to 60 years in prison, according to WSBT. Furlong must spend at least 30 years in prison before he will be eligible for parole.

Furlong pleaded guilty in November to second-degree murder for the 2008 death of Jodi Parrack. Parrack was found strangled to death in Constantine Township County, Mich., near the Indiana line.

He was arrested after DNA taken from him after he was arrested in a separate sexual assault matched DNA found on Parrack.
