Two arrested on DUI, marijuana charges at Taco Bell drive-thru in Elkhart County

Police say an intoxicated person was found with marijuana in the drive-thru of a Taco Bell in Elkhart County early Friday morning, Jan. 22.

The suspect, who was driving a small passenger car, committed a traffic violation so an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department deputy pulled over the vehicle, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

The driver, who wasn’t identified, was booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for possession of marijuana.
