Election 2016: Register to vote in Indiana or Michigan before the primary elections

The Iowa Caucus kicks off the 2016 election season on Monday and serves as a good reminder for Michiana residents to get registered to vote.

The Indiana primary is May 3, which means Hoosiers have until April 4 to register to vote.

The Michigan registration deadline is Feb. 8 for the presidential primary election, which is March 8.

The 2016 general election is Nov. 8. Indiana and Michigan residents alike have until Oct. 11 to register to vote.

Residents who haven’t moved since the last time they voted are likely still registered, but double-checking is always a good idea. Hoosiers can check to make sure their voter registration information is accurate at IndianaVoters.com, while Michigan voters can check the Michigan Voter Information Center online.
