Lake effect snow to fall again across Michiana on Friday and Saturday

Another round of lake effect snow is expected to fall across Michiana over the weekend.

Flakes will begin Friday night, Feb. 12 and 3 to 6 inches could be on the ground throughout the region by Saturday afternoon, Feb. 13, according to our news partners ABC 57.

The majority of the snow is expected to fall late Friday night and early Saturday morning. Winds are expected to be about 15 to 25 mph, with gusts about 35 mph. Between the snow and winds, road condition could get slippery and blowing snow could cause visibility to decrease.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for LaPorte, St. Joseph and Elkhart counties in Indiana and Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph counties in Michigan until 4 p.m. EST on Saturday.
