Up to 25 new jobs could be created in downtown South Bend over the next five years under a plan for the company to move from its current location to an office near Four Winds Field.

Xanatek has been located at the Key Bank building at 202 S. Michigan St., South Bend, since it left the former Chase Tower in 2015, the South Bend Tribune reported. The company hopes to move to the Jones Petrie Rafinski building at 402 S. Lafayette Blvd., South Bend.

The company, which provides insurance management solutions, would pay $20,000 for a city-owned parking lot adjacent to the building. It would spend $120,000 to improve the lot and $225,000 into the building over 18 months.

Xanatek would create between 15 and 25 new jobs over the next five years, the Tribune reported.

Find out when the sale of the parking lot will be voted on and what other development is planned for the Four Winds Field area in the full story from the South Bend Tribune.
