Ignite Michiana event features youth speakers part of St. Joe CEO program

A group of 14 high school and medical school students will deliver a series of short speeches in South Bend on Thursday night, Feb. 25, as part of an effort to connect young people with entrepreneurs in St. Joseph County.

Ignite Michiana: Cleared For Take Off is the first Ignite event featuring only youth speakers. Each speaker is part of St. Joe CEO, a year-long entrepreneurial program for students.

“The topics covered are as varied as our community. Students will share their unique passions, talents, experiences, and perspectives. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for both the audience and our speakers,” Cole Kuiper, St. Joe CEO student and project manager, said in a statement.

The event includes a silent auction and food for sale from Crooked Ewe, Bendix Coffee, Papa Vino’s and Javier’s Bistro.

The event is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Studebaker hangar at South Bend International Airport. Tickets are $15 and can be bought online. Visit the Ignite Michiana website for more information.
