For the second time, a plea deal was denied for a Mishawaka man charged in connection to a Granger house party attended by a pair of brothers the night before they were found dead.

Kyle Treber, 19, faces three counts of dealing narcotics and one count of possession of narcotics.

St. Joseph Superior Court Judge Jane Woodward Miller denied the second plea deal because she wants no limits on how long she could sentence Treber to serve in a state prison, according to the South Bend Tribune.

In the first plea deal, Treber wouldn’t have served any time. In the second, Treber would have served a maximum of six months in state prison.

Another hearing is scheduled for March 10.
