It’s no joke — the Potawatomi Zoo is opening for the season on Friday, April 1.

The zoo will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the 2016 season. Visitors will have a chance to see the zoo’s newest animal, a newborn Sichuan Takin born earlier this month, as well as the zoo’s hundreds of other animals.

Potawatomi Zoo visitors will also have opportunities to interact directly with some of the zoo’s animals, including the African Serval. Zoo experiences will change daily.

Admission is $9.50 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 3 to 14 and seniors 62 and older and free for children younger than 2.
