WYOMING, Mich. (AP) — A man trying to retrieve a drone from a tree in the Grand Rapids area needed his own rescue.
WZZM-TV reports that the man, wearing spikes, climbed the tree Saturday but got stuck. Firefighters in Wyoming, a Grand Rapids suburb, couldn’t immediately save him. A fire truck got stuck in soft ground and had to be pulled out.
The man finally was removed from the tree with equipment from a tree service.
A neighbor, Brad Oliver, says the rescue effort began when the man’s wife hadn’t heard from him for hours.
