Sandbags available for St. Joseph County residents cleaning up after floods

Sandbags are are being offered to St. Joseph County residents in the wake of floods that damaged roads and houses around the area.

The bags may require some self-assembly, so people picking up bags are encouraged to bring a shovel. Call ahead to ensure availability.

Additionally, isn’t sand bagging now equivalent to closing the barn door after the animals have checked out?
