INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The National Weather Service has added two more tornadoes to the total that hit Indiana during Wednesday’s outbreak.
The agency said Friday survey teams had confirmed weak EF0 tornadoes that caused little damage near the cities of Peru and Kokomo.
That increases to 10 the number of tornadoes for the state. The strongest was an EF3 tornado with winds estimated as high as 152 mph that damaged at least 1,000 homes and businesses in Kokomo.
Other tornadoes were confirmed in central Indiana’s Carroll, Howard, Marion and Montgomery counties, along with Allen, Adams and Wells counties in northeastern Indiana.
