ON THE TOLL ROAD

(NEW FOR MON 9/12) The Michigan City exit at mile marker 39, which connects with U.S. 421, will close for repaving. Work should take about two weeks. (ends 9/26)

IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY

(NEW FOR TUE) Crews will begin construction on

Harrison Road from Beech Road to Ash Road,
Riley Road from Redwood Road to Primrose Road
Tulip Road from SR 2 to Edison Road.

These operations will require road closures. Closures should last one or two days and then re-open to traffic during the remainder of the construction.

Crews will also be working on portions of:
Kern Road west of US 31 to Locust Road
Vistula Road from Cedar Road east to Osceola Town Limits
Ash Road from Douglas Road to Cleveland Road
Adams Road form Mayflower Road to Portage Road

Watch for flaggers directing traffic.

IN MISHAWAKA

Fir Road is closed at the toll road overpass. Find an alternate route. (ends TBA)

Crews are working on the final stretch of State Road 23 between Cleveland Road and Gumwood Road. Watch for alternating lane restrictions in place during the process. (ends TBA)

IN SOUTH BEND

(NEW FOR TUE) Watch for a partial lane closure on Jefferson from Main to Lafayette in downtown South Bend. (ends late on 9/9)

Smart Streets construction continues with Michigan Street closed from LaSalle to Riverside, downtown. That is set to re-open this Thursday. Main Street will be fully converted to a two-way street by mid-October. Michigan Street will be fully converted to a two-way street by mid-November.

Traffic is closed along Napoleon, from Lawrence to Stanfield. (ends 9/7)

Watch for a partial lane closure in the 100 block of St. Joseph St. (ends 10/1)

Old US 31 is restricted from Kern Road to Lucinda St. (ends 10/21)

Watch for partial lane closures on Jackson Road from Fellows to Grass Road. (ends 10/31)

The Olive-Sample bridge construction project continues. Sample Street has lane restrictions… Also Olive Street is closed at Ford Street on north… and south of Sample. (ends Sep/Oct 2016)

The City of South Bend’s sewer separation project is underway with road closures taking place along Northside Boulevard and Frances Street, south of Wayne Street. (ends in Nov. 2016)

IN STARKE COUNTY

Lane closures on U.S. 30, between County Road 300 East and U.S. 35, near Hamlet, through the middle of September. Crews will close one eastbound and one westbound lane at a time. (ends 9/2016)

IN CASS COUNTY

Construction continues on a roundabout at Five Points Road and U.S. 12 in Cass County, between Edwardsburg and Union. Drivers who travel through the area should detour along Cassopolis Road, Mason Street and Calvin Center Road (ends 9/30)
