There’s some empty spaces around Four Winds Field, and the owner of the South Bend Cubs wants to buy them.

Andrew Berlin’s “Swing Batter Swing” company are looking for options to buy two city-owned properties in the 500 block of South Lafayette and Main Streets, according to WNDU.

They are vacant lots that once housed the old Studebaker museum and former Michiana Lock and Key business. The options would run through March 2018.

Last month, Berlin unveiled plans for a 120-unit apartment complex beyond the outfield walls of Four Winds Field. Berlin bought the property it’d go on from the city as well.
