Goshen woman charged with battering a baby

A Goshen woman day care center employee has been arrested, suspected of battering a baby.

Police say it was back in June when 22-year-old Marisa Jester was taking care of an infant when the child suffered a broken arm. Investigators believe Jester mishandled the baby, according to WNDU.

She’s since been arrested and charged on a preliminary count of battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person under 14 and one count of neglect of a dependent. Officials with the Rainbow Child Care Center sent a letter to its families,

Officials with the Rainbow Child Care Center sent a letter to its families, saying they’ve been working with state regulators to provide additional training on proper interaction and handling of children and guidance working with infants and toddlers.
