He was there to “apologize on behalf of the normal gays.”

Milo Yiannopoulos hosted an event at Memories Pizza in Walkerton Thursday afternoon, which became famous for refusing to cater same-sex weddings after Gov. Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law.

Yiannopoulos visited the pizzeria during a bus tour. He’s going around the country speaking at colleges. he was most recently at Michigan State University on Wednesday.

“Coming through the area I realize it had been awhile and nobody had been talking about this for awhile and I don’t think anybody had realized how significant it was. I don’t think anybody has taken the time to realize what this meant and it stuck in people’s minds,” Yiannopoulos told ABC 57.

The event was live streamed on Breitbart’s website. About two dozen supporters showed up to meet the controversial Breitbart personality.

“I want people to realize that not all gays are awful because I can well imagine the sort of vindictiveness and meanness and spitefulness of the gay press and the left wing press gives people in towns like this the impression that all gay people are like that. My experience of real America, if you’d like, has been characterized by love, and compassion and decency and kindness and it isn’t the America you see in the media,” Yiannopoulos told ABC 57.

I agree. I had a very, very dear friend who was gay and he would get very angry when things like this would happen. He told me that about 95% of gay people just wanted to live their lives like everyone else…without drama and attention. They just wanted to be like anyone else and just live life.
