Authorities say a the incidents in a three-county crime spree now appear to be connected.

A theft from a Shipshewana gun store. An attack on a Michigan trooper. And a theft case from Mishawaka. All are now being linked to a Middlebury man and a Gobles man, whom police say are accused in the State Trooper incident in Berrien County on Feb. 20, according to WNDU.

Travis Wise and Michael Barber are accused in that attack. Barber is also suspected to be behind the theft of several handguns from Dutchman Hunting Supplies on US 20 in LaGrange County.

Some of those guns were involved in the Mishawaka case.

LaGrange County deputies and Shipshewana police are still working with law enforcement agencies around the region to piece together how all of the incidents are related.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department characterized the investigation as “ongoing and very active.”
