Infrastructure, gun safety issues on Monday’s South Bend Common Council agenda

A big Monday night is planned for the South Bend Common Council meeting.

On the agenda for Monday night’s meeting is the need to address the city’s infrastructure issues, including the upgrading or replacement of equipment that affects the city’s water system, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The water discussion began six months ago and, if a rate increase comes, it’s likely to be a big one, as rates have not been raised in almost a decade. The city only has a proposal for one-fourth of the funds they need.

The second issue is a gun safety resolution that would work to keep guns out of the hands of violent criminals, domestic abusers, and those with severe mental illnesses.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Feelings, whoa whoa whoa feeeelings March 27, 2017 at 2:13 pm

Because passing a resolution will keep guns out of the hands of criminals…who ignored the laws that already make it illegal for them to have and use the guns in crime. You can file this under a colossal waist of time and paper.

I’m sure it will make the libs feel good though, that’s all that really matters to them; feelings.
