Equality Rally for Unity and Pride to take place Sunday in South Bend

We’re in the thick of Celebrate Pride month in the South Bend area.

We’re also approaching perhaps the signature event of the annual month of celebration for LGBTQ people. The Equality Rally for Unity and Pride takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday at the LGBTQ Center at 1522 E. Mishawaka Ave.

The rally will be a part of the national LGBTQ rallies and marches taking place nationwide that show pride for the LGBTQ community. The idea is to not just unite these communities, but to also “clearly address concerns about the current political landscape and how it is contributing to the discrimination of LGBTQ individuals,” according to the LGBTQ Center.

If you plan on attending, plan on bringing signs for the two-hour event.

Sick of LGBTQHMRHLONMMASB!!!!!! June 8, 2017 at 2:47 pm

LGBTQHMRHLONMMASB only want equality and unity when it serves them. They are the definition of bigoted and religion haters! LGBTQHMRHLONMMASB would discriminate against every person that is “normal” if they were allowed to do it. Please remember they are a tiny, tiny, tiny minority but bully their way through anything that is in their way only because most of us just don’t get involved to stop them. I have never felt the need to tell everyone on the planet my sexual orientation. Why do they feel like we have to be reminded of theirs every minute of every day? A more accurate acronym to describe this group is LGBTQHMRHLONAS (Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Trans-Queer-Hate Monger’s-Religion Haters-Left of Normal-Microscopic Minority-Attention Seekers-Bigots)

The last thing I want is ‘unity’ with that ‘community’. There are not condoms large enough.
