Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly wants embattled Sen. Al Franken to resign amid new sexual misconduct allegations.

In a statement, he says “Senator Franken’s conduct and behavior are unacceptable and he should resign. I believe there is more work to be done to protect victims of sexual harassment and to reform the system of filing and settling harassment claims in Congress. I support reforms to protect victims, increase transparency and ensure that taxpayers do not have to pay for settlements made by members of Congress.”

This follows other female Democratic senators, including at least seven women, calling on the Minnesota senator to resign.

12:38 p.m. update: Multiple online reports say Franken will resign Thursday. AP confirms he will make an announcement.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Faced with multiple calls to resign, Democratic Sen. Al Franken’s office says he will have an announcement on Thursday.

"CoC" Criminal of Congress... December 7, 2017 at 9:39 am

Donnelly said “I support reforms to protect victims, increase transparency and ensure that taxpayers do not have to pay for settlements made by members of Congress.” All of this already exists and has been ignored by these morons we keep putting in office. I doubt there is a law that states taxpayers must pay victims of congressional debauchery so they won’t speak out and tarnish an upstanding criminals (congressman’s) reputation. I find it interesting that they are turning on each other at this point. I am certain Donnelly would vote to make congress use Obama care if they already were not excluded by an unlawful lie that puts them in a small business group exclusion. I am sure Donnelly would vote to end the congressional golden parachute awarded simply by being elected that we pay for but have no vote on…Come on America! Vote every single multiple term life long dirty politician out of DC. That includes anyone that was in one house and tries to get elected in another.
