A former Elkhart resident who claims that she was tricked into joining ISIS has returned to the US.

Samantha el Hassani was charged with making a false statement to the FBI after returning to the states Tuesday.

The South Bend Tribune reports that her four children, who returned with her, are currently in the care of the Indiana Department of Child Services.

She previously told CNN that her husband became an ISIS fighter and she decided to keep the family together.

He was killed by a drone strike in 2017, and she says she wants to return to a normal life in the US.

I think she is trying to trick us by saying that she was tricked by ISIS. Treat her as a terrorist!!

So stupid! July 26, 2018 at 7:44 am

My husband robs a banks and kills people. I just wanted to keep my family together so I didn’t say anything and pretended it never happened. Now I just want to go back to a normal life. That is how stupid her story is. Sad thing is that we will let her in, spend tons of money and resources to investigate for no reason…because we will let her in. Then when all is done she will collect welfare, Medicaid, free Iphones and live off of tax payers until she meets another wonderful man that is a terrorist and decides to hang out with him.
