A Grand Rapids woman who admitted to kidnapping a baby while babysitting him has received her sentence.

WOOD-TV reports that Iyesha Gibbs was given 30 years by a judge on Thursday.

She sparked an Amber Alert in August of last year when she took the baby from his Grand Rapids home and transported him to Benton Harbor.

Kidnapping can carry a life sentence, but the judge reportedly gave Gibbs a lesser sentence in exchange for a guilty plea.
