Brake Checking Leads to Meth Arrest

James Christopher/ ABC News

Not that you should ever brake check someone, but you really shouldn’t do it with drugs in the car. A St. Joseph county man learned that lesson the hard way late last week.

Police say that they witnessed a driver on Capital Avenue in a large ford Truck brake checking a vehicle behind him. That driver has since been identified as James Christopher. Officers then watch as he sped up to get in front of another car and then slam on his brakes AGAIN.

ABC 57 News reports that he also didn’t immediately stop for police, waiting until there were multiple squad cars behind him.

In the car police found meth, and in his pockets they found a scale and a pipe. His charges include possession and reckless driving.
