Berrien County Health Dept. looks to clarify public health situation after recent ruling

The Berrien County Health Department is looking to clarify any uncertainty after a recent State Supreme Court ruling regarding orders from Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

On Monday, the department said they were in consultation with the county’s legal counsel, the Board of Health, the Board of Commissioners, the Michigan Association of Public Health, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to determine the county’s next steps.

The county is working to establish the best course of action to protect the health of the public, and said the October 2 ruling that determined Governor Whitmer exceeded her authority does not change the importance of preventative actions to stop the spread of the virus.

There is no more executive Covid orders. They were ruled an unconstitutional power grab. The dept should now just give recommendations not mandates.

The governor wHitler has been spanked. Her orders are kaput. Yet she can do more orders if she would only humbler herself to The People in the form of the Michigan Legislature and work with them But no tyrant wants to be accountable to the people she supposedly serves. This tyrant only serves herself and no one else. All Michiganders should know by now who NOT to vote for the next time around.

Maybe you all will get lucky and see her held in contempt by the Supreme Court of Michigan for no obeying their order.
