Kosciusko County improves to orange status in new state update

Latest metrics for District 2 counties, which includes Kosciusko County. (Map/data provided by the Indiana State Department of Health)

In the latest weekly update of county metrics from the Indiana Department of Health, Kosciusko County has moved back into the orange level, or Advisory Level 3 of 4, when it comes to coronavirus spread.

The key factor in the improvement came with the latest positivity rate in the county, which was at 10.65 percent. Weekly cases per 100,000 residents remained at a high level of 268. If that number were to fall under 200, and positivity rate were to fall below 10 percent, the county could improve another level in the coming weeks.

Nearby, Elkhart and Marshall Counties saw improvement in their metrics, which if those hold another week, could move those two areas into the yellow level.

Whitley County remained on the red level this week as the positivity rate was at 15.13 percent and the weekly cases per 100,000 residents was at 453.

The dashboard noted that all neighboring counties around Kosciusko County saw some sort of improvement in numbers over the past week.

On a daily note, Kosciusko County’s rolling average of daily new cases fell to 25, continuing on an improving trend that has been seen since the early part of January.

The WHO testing was revised the day after Biden was installed. The HQC drug that Trump touted is suddenly okayed by the AMA. The lockdowns are suddenly ending since the 20th, as if having a Democrat in the white house changed the entire trajectory of COVID somehow. Ironic, considering that Sniffy Biden kept complaining about Trump “not having a plan” and then last week admitting that he didn’t have one either. Newsome is trying to avoid the recall by opening California.

I’m not sure why anyone is still playing along with this COVID charade at this point. The virus may be real, but the theatrics are entirely political.
