At least two suspects arrested after break-in at Ace Hardware store in St. Joseph Township

Two people have been arrested in connection to a break-in at the Ace Hardware store in the 2300 block of Niles Road in St. Joseph Township.

St. Joseph Township Police Department, assisted by St. Joseph Department of Public Safety and Michigan State Police, were called around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, after getting an burglary alarm alert.

On arrival, officers discovered damage to the front entry doors and evidence of entry. Police obtained surveillance video footage from the store, which identified two suspect vehicles and 9 suspects on camera causing damage and entering the store.

At around 9 a.m., Berrien County Sheriff Deputies were able to locate one of the suspect vehicles at a gas station in Benton Harbor.

Two juvenile suspects were detained and arrested on numerous charges related to the break in and an additional unrelated incident. The names of the suspects are being withheld at this time due to the fact that they are juveniles.

Maximum prison time for these people with no time off for being nice in jail
Punishment that don’t hurt don’t work .
Keep a close eye on the judge and procuter
And remember for the next election .
It seems to me crime is running rampant
And the honest hard working person don’t stand a chance with the criminals being favored .
