The U.S. 31 Coalition has penned an open letter to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.

The purpose of the letter is to offer the group’s conditional support for INDOT’s recent announcement regarding Planning and Environmental Studies along the corridor.

The U.S. 31 Coalition was formed to promote improvement of the U.S. 31 corridor from Indianapolis to South Bend.

They say, despite progress made in recent years, there remain major sections of highway between Tipton on the south and Argos on the north, that have not been upgraded and they’re pushing to see that happen.

The coalition sent the following release about the letter to 95.3 MNC:

Indianapolis, Indiana (February 1, 2021) – The U.S. 31 Coalition, which has worked with five Indiana Governors over twenty years to improve the main highway connecting Indianapolis with cities and towns in the northern half of the state, has penned an open letter to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.

The purpose of the letter is to offer the Coalition’s conditional support for INDOT’s recent announcement regarding Planning and Environmental Studies (PELs) along the corridor.

“If we are in agreement on these six points, we look forward to the quick implementation of the study. We are here to assist in any way possible. We recognize and greatly appreciate the continued support you have given this project, as do all of the communities, organizations and individuals that live, work and depend on U.S. 31,” reads the letter.

The letter is signed by Brad Bagwell, President of the U.S. 31 Coalition Board of Directors.

Yep there are still 3-4 stoplights that MUST be removed from US 31. If Mr. Holcomb was less concerned with his masquerade he might be thinking about how to improve Hoosier motorists and taxpayers lives. But he is only concerned with sucking up as much power as he can. Every one loses under his plans. My entire life I have been traveling to Indianapolis on US 31 and back. The job isn’t finished yet and with a blind squirrel running things it likely will never be finished.
