A man has been arrested in connection to last month’s robbery at a Michigan City Meijer.

The robbery happened at the Meijer on Franklin Street back on January 12.

ABC 57 News reports a caller told dispatchers a man threatened an on-duty employee with a knife after he tried to leave the store without paying for merchandise.

Richard Cope, 55, was arrested this week and charged with one count of Felony Robbery. He’s being held on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court next Tuesday.
