Four people were arrested on drug and weapons-related charges on U.S. 31 near Rochester.

It was around 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 when Indiana State Police initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima, on U.S 31 near State Road 25, for an unsafe lane movement.

Jesse Reason led to the arrests of Anthony Brockington, 26, Jalen Davis, 26, Diarra Wright, 23, Morgan McClintock, 23, all from Anderson, IN.

The Nissan was driven by Anthony Brockington, 26. While the trooper was speaking to Brockington, he allegedly smelled an odor of marijuana emitting from the Nissan. The trooper also noticed indicators that criminal activity might be afoot.

During a search of the Nissan, officers purportedly found marijuana and two handguns. One of the handguns was reported stolen from Anderson. Further investigation revealed that Brockington was driving without a valid operator’s license.

Brockington and a passenger, Morgan McClintock, 24, were arrested for possession of marijuana.

Diarra Wright, 23, faces criminal charges for carrying a handgun without a license, possession of marijuana, and theft of a firearm.

Jalen Davis, 26, faces charges for possession of marijuana, theft of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and carrying a handgun without a license.

All four were taken to the Fulton County Jail.
