At least eight people were shot and killed in an apparent active shooter situation at the FedEx facility near Indianapolis International Airport.
Police were called to the facility around 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 15.
Several other people were injured and transported to local hospitals, according to investigators who spoke during a news conference early Friday morning.
One of the people taken to the hospital is said to have suffered critical injuries.
Police believe the gunman shot and killed himself. He has been identified as 19 year-old Brandon Scott Hole, and is said to be a former employee.
The FedEx hub in Indianapolis is said to employ more than 4,500 workers and is the second largest in the company’s global network.

With the Democrat push for gun control, we’re going to see more things like this.
How many of these things need to be orchestrated before we let them take away our guns?
This is why concealed carry needs to be legal federally! Everywhere, without exception!

“Shall not be infringed” is pretty clear terminology.
This is why you don’t mess with people’s rights to carry!
The criminals will carry guns, so the good guys need to be armed also!
The police can’t show up or act quick enough to prevent these situations, the only way this stops is when Americans realize that the government is responsible for disarming the victims and we stand up and demand the government get off of our God given rights to defend ourselves!
This is a tragedy that never needs to happen again!
Get your concealed carry license, pay for USCCA insurance and put a firearm in your waistband. Train regularly and be prepared to stop someone like this!

Are you suggesting that the killing of 8 innocent workers was somehow “orchestrated” as purely a Democratic ploy to allow the Congress to legislate gun control and “take away (your) guns?”
I’m no fan of gun control, but I think that suggestion is callous and a little too conspiracy-phobic, Chuck. Yeah, I’m sure the Democrats will use the incident as another example of why they say there needs to be gun control, but I don’t think they somehow “orchestrated” it.
Truthfully, I don’t think there’s any easy explanation for why sick, crazy people decide that the way to deal with whatever caused them hurt, anger, pain, or feelings of ‘injustice’ is to shoot and kill innocent people. It’s happened throughout history, but VERY rarely, and I can’t explain why it seems to have happened a lot more in the last 20 years. Maybe because it makes so much news coverage and it turns into some sort of ‘copycat’ thing where warped people see it on the news and think, ‘yeah, I wanna shake people up that way too!’
But it’s not the gun’s fault, any more than it’s the car’s fault when some twisted deviate decides to plow his car into a crowd and run over a bunch of innocent people, or the knife’s fault when some sicko takes one and slices up a bunch of innocent people in a shopping mall.
It’s the perpetrator’s fault — as simple as that. Maybe there’s some way to identify these warped people and prevent this stuff from happening before the fact, but I don’t know what it is.
But gun control is not the answer, I do know that.
There is a pile of evidence reaching back decades that the FBI uses unbalanced individuals as wind up toys. How many times can the FBI and other agencies “accidentally” let someone on their radar go unchecked before it starts to look intentional?
The only way to stop these shootings is to arm yourselves and be prepared to defend yourselves and others!
