A Mishawaka doctor is being sued by a protester who says he was injured when Doctor Glenn Wheet drove his car into a crowd last year.

According to WSBT, 24-year-old Trevor Gavis filed a civil lawsuit, saying he suffered physical and emotional harm.

Protesters were blocking a bridge in Mishawaka during a Black Lives Matter Protest. Prosecutors say Wheet drove through two sets of traffic cones and then accelerated– hitting three people.

Wheet has been charged with criminal recklessness, a level 6 felony.

A trial date was originally scheduled for this past December, but it has been pushed back to October.

This story was originally reported by WSBT and can be found here.

Too bad he wasn’t driving a bulldozer or an asphalt roller. If you want to protest do it from the sidewalk. You are also more likely to be listened to if you are polite and not being obnoxious.

Or you could just stop blocking the freaking road.

I love how only part of the story is told. Yes maybe he should not have drove through the cones but he only accelerated when someone tried to hang on his vehicle.

BECAUSE he drove THROUGH THE CONES OF THE DESIGNATED (for the protest) SPACE! Geezus, do you even “know” the story???

The designated protest space should not have been in the street, and the protesting mob should not have been in the street.

Your average first grader knows not to play in the street, but apparently they are smarter than BLM protestors.
