Guilty plea from man who struck, killed two Notre Dame students

The man who struck and killed two Notre Dame students pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated.

It was back in October when Valeria Espinel, 19, and Laura Rojas, 19, died while they were walking along a section of Ironwood where there is no sidewalk and were struck by Justin Cavallo, 26.

A third person was injured.

A second vehicle struck Espinel as she was lying in the street, though that driver has not been charged.

Cavallo will be sentenced in a few weeks.
