Man arrested after getting into a fight with police

A man was arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly battering several people, and fighting with Elkhart Police Officers.

Around 7:30 a.m., officers were called to the 700 block of West Marion Street for reports of a trespasser.

Upon arrival, police found two people in a physical altercation.

According to ABC-57 News, officers attempted to break up the fight when one of them started to fight with authorities.

Police then used a taser and gained control of the man, 35-year-old Marvis Johnson.

Officers say Johnson arrived at the home where reports say he started fighting and threatening to kill several people.

Several people suffered minor injuries as a result.

Johnson was arrested and faces 6-charges including battery, intimidation and residential entry.
