An Elkhart Common Council member has spent the past several days providing medical support to Afghan refugees being flown from Ramstein Air Base in Germany to Dulles International Airport in Virginia, according to The Elkhart Truth.

It was the 12th disaster response for Councilmen Aaron Mishler who is a nurse by profession.

The Elkhart Truth reports the volunteer trip came about after the non-profit organization Americares reached out to Mishler to see if he would be willing to lend a hand.

Mishler is a veteran of the Indiana Army National Guard and Army Reserves, where he served as a medic and a licensed practical nurse, The Elkhart Truth reported.

He’s volunteered after previous disasters, such as Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas and the Ebola virus outbreak in Liberia.

I don’t agree with his politics, but I will certainly recognize the fact that he is willing to stand by his convictions by going and helping. Good on you, Mr Mishler!

I wonder if he will disavow Biden for causing this, or if his commitment to the D party will ensure his silence.
