An intoxicated woman who tested positive for COVID-19 is accused of biting a medic.

Elizabeth Wilson was in a treatment room at Memorial Hospital.

A medic was trying to keep Wilson in the room but, according to the probable cause affidavit, she refused. Wilson became argumentative and combative.

It took several people to try and restrain her while doctors ordered a shot to calm her down.

ABC-57 News reports while trying to restrain her, Wilson allegedly bit a medic on his arm, breaking the skin.

Wilson faces a charge of battery against a public safety official.

So I want to know since when can a hospital make you stay at the hospital even if you do have the vid that is the police departments job so i say if she had to bite someone to gain her freedom then good for her and if they forced anything into her body she needs to sue the living hell out of that hospital just my thoughts

I agree with Mac. What right did they have to restrain her? There is either a lot more to this story that is not reported or the hospital should have let her walk; they are not law enforcement.

“A medic was trying to keep Wilson in the room”

Does anyone remember that first semester of medical school when you learn about security and the various restraints one can use to control someone else? Good times.
