LaGrange County deputies arrest man after getaway attempt in rowboat

LaGrange County deputies caught a man who they say was trying to get away in a rowboat.

Deputies got a call on Tuesday, Sep. 22, about a man who was behaving badly and may have been high on drugs.

People who called the cops told them that the man had stolen a rowboat and was rowing across Adams Lake.

While it’s not a big lake, it was big enough and the rowboat was slow enough, that they were able to set up and wait for the man to row to shore and right up to them.

The man was identified as 32-year-old Kenneth Bolen of Auburn.

He was charged with resisting law enforcement and felony theft of the boat.
