Residents of Kennedy Park, Rum Village neighborhoods can give their input in planning for the future

People who live or work in the Kennedy Park or Rum Village Neighborhoods in South Bend will have a chance to give their input as planning for the future gets underway.

Mayor James Mueller is encouraging neighbors to get involved in a series of workshops set for October.

The series includes two visioning sessions and a priorities workshop for each neighborhood.

The visioning sessions, that allow residents to provide their ideas as a housing, infrastructure, land use, amenities and other topics.

The priorities workshop will help determine the most important projects, policies and programs.

The results of these workshops will provide the basis for each neighborhood’s plan, which will provide a shared long-term strategy for private and public investment in the area and will include transportation, housing, parks, zoning and building form, and other items important to the neighborhood.

None of this will matter, you will all lose your houses anyway. Buried deep in the $3.5T Boondoggle Bill (that costs ZERO dollars according to the Fraud-in-Chief) is a annual Federal property tax worth 3% of your home’s value. A modest $100000 home will cost $250/month additional under this new tax.

But remember, the Democrats are for the “working class” and want to help the “middle class”. Sure they do.
