A South Bend man has been sentenced in U.S. District Court after pleading guilty to a weapons-related charge.

Michael Dale Kindley, 45, admitted to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

It was back in August of 2020 when officers conducted a traffic stop in which they learned Kindley was driving without a driver’s license in a car that didn’t belong to him.

What they did find Kindley with was a gun, more than $2,000 cash and two bags filled with an assortment of prescription pills.

At the time, Kindley was on probation for a conviction of possessing meth.

Kindley was sentenced to 30-months in prison followed by 1-year of supervised release.
