A judge will decide whether the student suspect in a stabbing at Adams High School will be given home detention.

The student was in court Monday, and his parents and their attorney asked the judge for at-home-detention for the 15 year-old.

According to court documents the boy allegedly stabbed another student while trying to steal THC cartridges and cash. He faces charges including armed robbery, battery with a deadly weapon, and having a knife on school property.

The boy’s attorney pointed out that he is willing to go into counseling, had a clean record, and his teachers said the alleged action was “uncharacteristic for him.” The prosecution pointed out the “extraordinary violence” of the act in question and suggested he remain in custody.

A status hearing is scheduled for February 7th.

Many folks do not realize how terrified many students are to go to school. Threats are often and real. The strong many times terrorize the weal. It is difficult to learn when you are anxious. What is being done to protect the victim from seeing the alleged stabber back ins school???

He was a good boy, never did nothin’ wrong… Other than stabbing someone while committing a robbery.

It’s time to stop with this soft-on-crime BS and start locking people up in unpleasant jails for a long time. If you don’t want recidivism, make jail time unbearable.

The “victim” sounds like he was selling weed on school property. I usually agree w you David but play stupid games win stupid prizes the “victim” wanted to play gangster drug dealer and I guess he found out the hard way. Bet he doesn’t sell weed anymore.

I mean if “the victim” wasn’t breaking the law in the first place he would never have become a “victim”
