Warsaw and Kosciusko County are having economic success and Gov. Eric Holcomb praised the city for what they are doing to attract business and build more housing for their skilled workers. The governor was a special guest at the annual Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce dinner Thursday night, where he recognized the city’s efforts in attract high tech manufacturing and orthopedic companies that now call Warsaw home.

“You have such a success story to tell and people want to join a winning team,” said the governor, in his keynote speech.

The city now face a problem of not having enough housing, though, for the workers who are employed in those industries.

“This is just such a perfect night taking it all in. There’s such an energy and vibe. You’ve got it going on. Obviously, you’re doing a lot right,” said Holcomb.

The city is planning to annex 70 acres for a new housing development to attract more skilled workers.
