A lawsuit regarding mask mandates against three school districts and their superintendents has been dismissed.

Five students, with their their guardians, filed a lawsuit against Watervliet, St. Joseph, and Lakeshore schools back in January.

The next month, the school districts made face masks optional.

On April 8, a Berrien County judge dismissed the case, since the mandate in no longer in place.

ABC 57 News reports that if the mask mandate were to come back to the school districts, the case could be revived.

  1. The damage is already done, those kids had to wear masks for days, weeks, months… The fact that the school dropped the mandates once the suits were filed doesn’t nullify what already happened.
